Capital Region International Airport (IATA: LAN), formerly known as Lansing Capital City Airport, is a public, Class C airport located 3 miles (5 km) northwest of downtown Lansing in DeWitt Township, Michigan.

The first recorded flight in Lansing took place on October 15, 1911 at an old racecourse. During World War II, Francis Aviation and Hughes Flying Service provided ground and flight training to 300 pilots per month as part of the U.S. Government's Civilian Pilot Training Program and War Training Service.
